Please review the three files posted in this. These include an article referring to an earlier version of this survey, a second article about RWA among criminal justice students, and an article similar to the first, in which we see evidence that authoritarians fear social deviance.
Assignment:
Discuss our rankings. Any surprises? Look for similarities and differences. How are ideas of what is and is not deviant shaped by our own experiences? Can various conceptions of deviance help explain the difference in our views?

Review the Mentor and Dorne (not Dome) article (attached). This article is somewhat dated, but do you think the rankings offered by this class will vary significantly from those offered in the classes served for this paper?
What about authoritarianism? Is this a reasonable predictor of attitudes regarding certain crimes? Are high authoritarians deviant. Are high authoritarians more likely to act in support of authority when triggered by that authority?
Note the article about authoritarians among criminal justice students. Should we seek more egalitarian police personnel? Perhaps we should train police to recognize authoritarian tendencies?
Do you have broader concerns about authoritarians? Note the paper discussing fear among high authoritarians. They are afraid of social deviance. How has this fear been manipulated by the media and politicians?
