Take the Complexity in Healthcare topic (file uploaded) and develop a Concept Map from your data. You will need to add 2-3 additional relevant concepts not previously included in the data. This will be graded on the following:
1. CONTENT/CONCEPTS: Focus question/issue/concept adequately defines the issue/problem. Main concept/topic serves as a reference point for the rest of the concept map. Main concept/topic connects to all other concepts. Main concept is the most general, over-arching concept of the map.
2. STRUCTURE: Hierarchical in nature with appropriate branching. Each subordinate concept is more specific than the previous concept. Provides complete picture of chosen concept. Hierarchy is portrayed clearly
3. RELATIONSHIPS AND CROSS LINKS: Propositional structure/statements appropriate, accurate, and valid. Use of lines, arrows, and/or arcs labeled with linking words/phrases forming meaningful statements (ie, semantic units).
Cross links accurately connect concepts from different domains, demonstrating conceptual understanding. Links are precisely and concisely labeled.
4. CREATIVITY AND ORGANIZATION: Concept map is colorful with information presented clearly. Presentation demonstrates high level of concept understanding. Related concepts are grouped appropriately. Well organized with concepts flowing in logical format.
