Choose one of the clips from the Discovery series “Dirty Jobs” linked below to watch. Using the procedures discussed in the Job Analysis lecture (both job-oriented and person-oriented job analyses), create a mini job analysis on the selected job with the following elements:

1. Identify the job title. If it is not clearly stated in the clip, do your best to name the position based on the tasks that are shown.

2. Identify five tasks essential to the performance of the job.

3. Identify at least 3 elements needed to perform each of the five tasks. Elements include the knowledge, skills, abilities, duties, activities, or other characteristics such as attitude and personality qualities needed to perform each task.

This assignment should be done in list form, with one bullet point per task and sub bullet points for the elements of each task.

Use technical terms where appropriate. You may need to use outside sources to obtain the proper names of tools, equipment, or procedures.

In some of the video clips, more than one job is presented. Please only select one position out of those displayed in the video to perform a job analysis for.
