The aim of this paper is to study a direct provision centre and see if the educational needs of children seeking asylum are being met
Objective 1 – A study of the guidelines and policies that ensure that children seeking asylum receive an education
Objective 2 – Looking at any potential barriers that may be faced by these children
Objective 3 – Looking at how we might be able to overcome those barriers.
Motivation, Personal and Professional –
Personal – I worked closely with children seeking asylum ( not in an educational field) and wanted to know if there were any difficulties with them receiving an education.
Professional – Up to the writer, whatever makes sense
Importance of the Research – Include some definitions and why this research is important – all children deserve an education and if we can ensure that they receive it, we should.
