You are anticipating the birth of your first child. After watching the podcast; and reading the above article (and based on your previous learning), how would you choose to structure your infants environment and social experiences? Explain using some of the examples learned in the podcast and article assigned this week. What would you want to include in the infants physical environment in order to stimulate their all their senses? Identify an experience, book, toy or game for children that you put in his/her environment to stimulate their senses. As a result of the above choices, do you think that your child would be culturally and developmentally the same or different than other children in America?

Explain your position thoroughly and provide several examples from the podcast.

If i am anticipting my first child I would ensure their enviroment is educational, visual, language and socially stimiulating. It is important to have them engage mentally through play as this help develop their senses, gross and fine motor skills, brain delvelopment and help them learn the world around them this will enchance their brain development grow faster. I will provide an enviroment for learning, and social interaction through sight, hearing and touch. For example some toys i would included is safe supervised water play, textured toys with high- contrast patterns to stimulate baby senses, a gym with toys with contrasting colors, play dough, blocks, rattles, wind chimes for song, books for reading with big bright picture to help my baby understand rhythms, sounds and patterns of lanugage.

I would also talk, sing, read books, recite nursery ryhmes while carrying my baby to help to develop a bond with me. For safety reasons areas for eating, sleeping and diaper changing would be in a seperate area and a safe sleeping area to promote sleep to help brain development. After learning so much in this chapter and previous chapters I will ensure that their enviorment continously have stimulant to promote brain develpoment but at the same time calm to promote sleep.

My child will be cultured and develop similiar to American kid and also differenlty as I will exposed my child to other cultures including my own. However, as they develop their enviorment can also step in and have some changes on their culture.
