To analyze client needs, case managers use self-report data from client interviews. In this assignment, you will practice creating an analysis of a hypothetical client that includes an assessment of obstacles to service and strategies to reduce those obstacles in a 45 page expository essay.

It has been about five years now and honestly, I am not sure how much longer I could have lasted like this. You probably wont believe this, but I was once a teacheryep, I taught high school English at a private school. The parents were too demanding and my students too lazy and I guess that started the pressure that I felt. So, I began drinking more and smoking pot more- you know, to cope with teaching and everything.
It was fine for a while, till it wasnt, you know? My girlfriend dumped me because she said I was becoming a stoner. Then, my friends complained that I never wanted to go out and when I didI was kinda a bummer. Then, I lost my job for oversleeping too much. I knew I was on this downward spiral but felt helpless. I couldnt stop drinking or smoking and then, I found oxy. I quickly became addicted and soon stopped paying any attention to my life. I lost my apartment and car but kept using. Then, I had wiped out my bank account, stolen from my brother, and was living on the street. Well, I am still now. I am glad that I was eventually arrested for possession and intent to distribute- thats how I ended here. I dont even know what to do nowlook at me, homeless and hopeless.
Include the following in your analysis:
Identify at least four potential case management needs for Jackson.
Assess the needs according to priority explaining which ones are immediate, mid-term, and long range.
Explain how this goal will help him to build critical life skills that will complement his addiction treatment.
Predict at least two obstacles that Jackson might face in getting his needs met.
Propose two strategies for working around those obstacles.
