Week Five Scholarly Discussion
Answer the following questions, related to the design of the research project for your problem of interest. Your answers should be substantive and include your reasoning.
Will there be an intervention? (experimental vs. nonexperimental research)
What types of comparisons will be made? (to provide interpretive context)
How will confounding variables be controlled?
Will blinding be used? How will you control for bias?
How often will data be collected? (cross-sectionally or longitudinally)
When will “effects” be measured, relative to potential causes? (retrospective or prospective)
Where will the study take place? Will the setting affecixct generalizability of the results?
