This weeks readings provided you with some indicators of how to identify an insider threat and the 2010 Gangs Infiltrating Law Enforcement and Correctional Agencies investigative report showed you how real this threat is to todays law enforcement. As a law enforcement professional you will have the responsibility of mitigating the potential for one of your own becoming an insider. For this assignment, place yourself in the position of the leader of the intelligence unit with your local police department and discuss how you will minimize insider threats.
