from instructor:
Your paper must start with a brief description of the historical context (the background of the document, including events occurring before and at the time of the document), paper must present the conclusions from your analysis, citing evidence from the source to support your conclusions. Do not base conclusions on your opinions and try to avoid emotionally loaded words (like stupid, horrible, amazing, etc.). Base conclusions on what the primary source actually said, not how you feel about it. For your analysis, choose a question to investigate about the document, such as why the author wrote it, how it sheds light on a historical event, person, idea, etc., what the author was trying to communicate, etc. There are many potential questions to ask. Look for answers and make sure to cite evidence.
