In this written assignment, you will compare how families have changed over time.
This will be done by watching two television programs, one from before 1989 and
one after 1990. Suggestions for pre- 1990 might be: Fathers Knows Best, Andy
Griffith, Leave it to Beaver, I love Lucy etc. The latter may be Roseanne, Simpsons,
Family Guy, or Fresh Prince of Bel-Air or other contemporary programs. These are
only suggestions you may select your own programs. Using the text and at least 2
other sources, one of which must be from the library data base, you will describe
how families have changed over time. In addition, you will apply one of the three
sociological theories to justify your conclusions. You will then write a 3-5 page
critical analysis of your research. The paper will be double spaced, New Times
Roman 12- point font. Paper follows APA 7th title page-and reference page with
research properly sited.
