Assignment Question
Pre-Requisite to Assignment: Read the presentations of concepts that summarizes concepts from our course textbook we have done so far (Titled “Application Paper 3 Concepts Presentation 1, etc…”).
The application paper assignment is designed to analyze a current business situation (e.g., company and its issue) from the news (e.g., Fortune, Business Week, Wall Street Journal) that applies two or more course concepts from the provided presentations particularly well.
Disclaimer: choose a business situation from August 2023 and after as our professor has specified any article taken before this time will not be accepted.
Required Structure & Content of the Essay:
1) Brief introduction to the course concepts you chose (~0.5 page);
2) Description of the situation (e.g., company and its issue) in the article you chose (~0.5-1 page);
3) Explicit discussion and application of relevant course concepts in your analysis of the article (~2- 3 pages). The suggested approach is to define, cite and apply the concept. Cite in text in addition to works cited. The main concepts discussed must be from a class prior to your submission, and you should add as many additional concepts as you like (generally the more the better)
4) Brief assessment of the article’s implications for management and organizations today (~0.5 page);
5) Copy link to the article.
