Analyze a book or movie (of the non-fiction variety), current event, classroom event or series of events from the course, or reflect on a previous or current cultural experience from your personal and/or work life.
Then write a report on your observations, why you chose the topic you did, and what you learned about your understanding of national cultural issues broadly speaking, and global leadership in particular, by applying course concepts to these events/issues/experiences. The main goal is to deepen your understanding of how national cultural differences can play an important role for leaders in todays economy and society, by explicitly applying course concepts to real-world events.

Your paper should include the items below. The report should be eight pages long maximum (though papers can certainly get good grades if they are even considerably shorter; grading is not based on length), double-spaced in 12-point Times New Roman font with one-inch margins. Please include:
1) A description of the event you chose and why you chose it. Also describe in short how you chose it and why it was useful to put it under the cultural microscope so to speak.
2) Adescriptionoftheevent/issue/experienceandadetailedexplanationofhowculturemayhave played a role in shaping the critical events. Use course material to deepen your description of your analysis. What cultural dimensions were at play, and how did they affect different organizationally relevant issues (i.e., negotiations or conflict management, team dynamics, communication, leadership, feedback, motivation, organizational change, etc.)

An action plan or set of recommendations about how you would approach a similar situation in the future if/when you encounter it. Be as specific as possible about what you personally would do based on your analysis of the factors at play in this specific case.
