Project Format:
Project should be between 5-7 pages long with in-text citations and a reference page.

The project should explore the crime through both a psychological and sociological lens.
The project should be written in professional, well-written paragraphs, according to the following format:
I. CRIME:
Details of the crime
Information should include: where it happened, when, who was involved, anything else relevant to the case
II. VICTIMOLOGY:
Who were the victims?
Why were they chosen?
What role did the location play in the choosing of the victims?
III. OFFENDER/ PERPETRATOR(S):
If they were apprehended: who were they? Why did they commit the crime?
If they were not apprehended: why were they not caught? Who might have committed the crime?
IV. ROLE OF THE POLICE/ CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM:
How did the police solve the crime?
What charges were brought?
What was the verdict?
Why do you think the jury voted this way?
V. PREVENTION:
Using psychological and sociological theories, how might this crime have been prevented?
If the case involves a serial perpetrator, how could he/she been stopped/caught after the first crime?
