Adult Development Theory

Leadership

Course name: Adult Development Theory

Read the concrete examples of 3 educational leaders (Eleanor, Maribel, and Dionne) who are all facing some difficulties in their work. Intuitively notice that their strengths and limitations are different, so you can begin to see patterns that will help you build your understanding of adult development theory.
Now that you have been introduced to Adult Development Theory, lets return to the lists of similarities and differences in the cases of Eleanor, Maribel, and Dionne that you identified. Make note of your reflections and observations in steps 3 and 4 so you can draw on them in your reflection in your Apply assignment at the end of this week.
As you read through the lists posted by your pod mates, see if you see any connections between the leaders and the three stages of adult development Socializing, Self-Authoring, and Self-Transforming.
Do your responses look something like the lists we’ve provided in this answer key? If so, then you are probably starting to see how a leaders development can powerfully shape his or her leadership. If your lists dont look very much like the ones weve provided here, print out this answer key and read back through (and/or listen to) the cases again to see if you can now see some of the items on that list in what the leaders say.
All sources are attached to the submission.
