Infections of the Urinary System For this week’s discussion question, read over the following case study: Ana, a 65-year-old female patient, presents to the urgent care center where you are working with painful burning when urinating, along with cloudy and dark color urine. A urinalysis indicates the presence of blood and pus, and a microscopic examination reveals the presence of gram-negative, motile bacilli. A further physical examination reveals a swollen and painful urinary bladder when palpated.
