1. Referencing the tasks performed by modern police, are there too many being
performed? Too little? Why?
2. What do you believe are the proper roles and responsibilities of law enforcement?
Which ones are necessary to protect the community?
3. Some police departments have begun to take away some tasks and instead have
specialized individuals (such as mental health professionals) respond to the
appropriate events, either with a LEO or in place of. What are the benefits to this
procedure? Drawbacks? What other types of professionals could be used?
