Question 1: Identify and discuss what you believe are two predominant reasons why gangs exist.
Once you have done so, discuss what you think can be done to reduce the impact of these two factors or reasons.

Question 2: Review the information regarding “Reasons to Join a Gang” starting on page 166 in Chapter Five of the class text. You will see there are no less than 12 reasons that a person might join a gang.
In your opinion, which one of these explanations would be the easiest to mitigate or address (in a gang prevention effort) AND which one would be the hardest to mitigate? Provide discussion to support your choice for the easiest and hardest to mitigate.
