Your assignment is to find a news article that demonstrates community partnerships. Examples would be of a local law enforcement officer practicing this. A Polk County newspaper (The Ledger, Daily Ridge, News Chief) dated from January 1 of this year to present. Summarize the article. How does the article specifically relate to what you learned this week? Why are community partnerships so important? Do you feel the lack of confidence and trust in law enforcement being discussed in the media today has anything to do with community partnerships? What do you feel local agencies should do better in order to build trust?
