For this culminating assignment in the text analysis project, you will upload your one page of notes, which will be the basis for the grade, to this location. Your oral presentation will be shared later in one of this week’s forums.
For your presentation, imagine and address the following scenario: Youve been called upon by a local religious community that wants your expertise on a text from Matthew. In no more than five minutes total, your presentation must address each of the three worlds of your text (literary, historical, and contemporary) as you explain the meaning of your text.
Your presentation should incorporate a blend of your own insights (generated through the Interpretation Exercises) in conversation with other scholars (discovered in the Annotated Bibliography assignment). To prepare for your presentation (to be shared in one of this week’s forums), you must prepare a typed 1 page single-spaced outline of notes or a complete manuscript of your presentation. You will upload this document here, and it will serve as the basis for the grade for this assignment. All sources referenced must be cited and the standards of academic integrity apply. Your submission should have:
A claim about the meaning of your selected text
A defense of the claim in light of the literary, historical, and contemporary worlds of the text
