Write new perspectives in non-surgical periodontal treatment.

Objective: this review aims to gather current knowledge from the literature regarding perspectives in non-surgical periodontal treatment.

Articles: scientific articles restricted to the time period between 2017 and 2022, published in English, Portuguese, Spanish and/or French, in universal electronic databases such as PubMed, The Cochrane Library, Lilacs, ScienceDirect, BMC Public Health and Google Scholar.
Keywords used for the search: terms such as (non-surgical periodontal treatment OR periodontal treatment) AND (scaling OR root planning OR adjuvants OR LASER OR probiotics OR antibiotics ). Specific medical concepts and their synonyms (MeSH) shall also be used.
