Maybe we can pick between some of the following theories:
Behavioral and Social -Cognitive Theories-Attribute differences in personality to behavior learned through interaction with external physical and social environment.
Humanistic Theories-Which focus on Private, Subjective experience and personal growth.
Trait Theories- Attempt to learn what traits make up personality and how they relate to actual behavior.
Psychodynamic (Psychoanalytic) Theories- Focus on the inner workings of personality, especially internal conflicts and struggles.

Catalog Description
A study of the neurobiological, physical, cognitive, social,
and emotional development of humans from conception through
childhood, adolescence, adulthood, and old age. Emphasizes
normal development stages and patterns ofadjustment to
differing life-time demands. The theories and principles of
human development are examined in light of contemporary
research. (3 contact hours)
