Wednesday June 29:

1) First watch the Adiche Ted Talk called The Danger of a Single Story; then, read through the transcript–(both the link and the actual transcript are loaded above this assignment in the week one module for you)
https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=ted+talk+adichie+danger+of+a+single+story&view=detail&mid=AD22CF82476801261A30AD22CF82476801261A30&FORM=VIRE

2) Then post your own commentary and analysis–2-3 full paragraphs (note: you will not be able to see anyone else’s post before posting your own answers, and you will not be able to edit your own post after you post).

Address the following questions in your response:

A. How does this Ted Talk relate to this week’s theme of Identity?

B. What surprised you about her story?

C. What insights/discoveries did you have as you listened to and read her talk?

D. Include at least one specific quote from Adiche and frame it with what you think she is talking about here and why you picked this quote–the lesson or message in this quote.

3) Then, post feedback for the person whose post is above yours in the discussion chain. If you were the first to post a comment on the last post on the page. Then, give feedback to one other classmate–for a total of feedback for two classmates–try to pick someone who doesn’t have any feedback yet. Please label the feedback with the classmate’s name and your own–for example, like this: “Feedback for Isla Mohamed by Jeremy Brown” Also, be sure they have addressed A-D above and be sure to tell them what you liked, agreed with or saw differently.
