Use at least two scholarly articles to accompany .gov websites (among others) that just provide the general information (see sources materials if you have questions) Avoid any websites I have stated are not trustworthy–see personal feedback and general feedback I have provided. (Treatment oriented websites are notoriously poor on accuracy, and exaggerate how terrible various drugs are.)
Provide depth about your question or interest and why it is importantthat would be part of an brief introductory paragraph..
Be sure to cite your sourceswithin your report in a couple of places. Paraphrase and do NOT quote. Attempt to use either the APA style (preferred) for listing your sources on the References page(s). I will not be picky about specifics (like commas and periods and italics) but it should follow the basic logic of those publication styles.
Reminder: Use your feedback from Report 1 and from Citation & Paraphrase II exercise regarding citing, what types of things to paraphrase, and the objective style of writing that is expected. And, as in instructions ignored last time by many—be sure to consider your audience for the Report.
Audience: Write as if this is for a peer from this class who knows what you know (or should know) from this course, but who has not read the particular sources you using for your report. What do they need to know to understand what you now know? (And what do they not need to knowthey already know cocaine is a stimulant, heroin is an opiate/opioidso do not waste time very general knowledge that everyone in the course should know at this pointyou do not need to tell them that serotonin or dopamine are neurotransmitters, etc. (Remember, any general sources you may cite often are written as if the reader knows nothing about drugs, biology, or psychology)
