Write a (not including references and title page) double-spaced paper which synthesizes and critiques the empirical literature on a topic relevant for this class. For example, you may review a controversy in the field or synthesize and critique research on a topic. If you choose a topic that we are covering in class, your paper must go well beyond what we cover. Papers must include a minimum of 8 scientific, scholarly sources. Of these, at least 5 must be primary empirical, relevant sources that have been published within the last 10 years. The margins must be no larger than 1 inch and the font must be 12point.
