*MY TOPIC IS TYPE A AND TYPE B PERSONALITIES. *

The purpose of this assignment is to relate concepts you learn in class to the working world. You will select an organizational behavior topic for the write up. You will be given a list of topics that you can choose from. You must send me your top four choices in case other students have selected your topic. You must send me your choices by May 16, 11:59pm. Otherwise, I will assign you a topic.

Next you will find two CURRENT (dated 2015-2022) representations of that topic in the business context (news articles (WSJ, etc.), journal articles (HR Magazine, Fortune, etc.), etc.) or an academic source with research on the topic (academic research in a journal article, NOTE: Wikipedia IS NOT an academic source). At least one article needs to describe an organization or company practice related to the topic: in other words, an application of the OB concept in an organizational setting rather than a general discussion of the topic. However, both articles can deal with organization or company practices.

You will submit a two – four page single or double spaced write up (Word document) on the two articles (two QQTP Write ups in all). Due Date is June 13, and any late assignments will be counted off 20 points per day.

The Q-Q-TP stands for: Questions, Quotes, and Talking Points. It is a useful framework for readers to engage in critical thinking and glean course relevant information from the readings. Your pages should have these as subheadings: Questions, Quotes, Talking Points. Your main heading for each article will be the title of the article. There is a rubric in Canvas that will show you how points will be distributed.

Be sure to use correct APA in-text citations, For quotes: (family name(s), date, and page number or paragraph number if from internet without page numbers); (Griffin et al., 2020, page/section number). Include a Reference List at the end that includes your two sources in correct APA format for a Reference List plus your textbook: Griffin, R. W., Phillips, J. M., & Gully, S. M. (2020). Chapter X. In Organizational behavior: Managing people and organizations. Boston, MA: Cengage.

Q-uestions Write two questions per article that come to mind about issues, information, and ideas discussed by the author(s) of the article (s). Include a brief explanation of why you selected each of the questions. You should have a separate explanation for each question. (at least 3-4 sentences for each explanation)

Q-uotes Choose two quotes from each of the readings. The quotes should be something the author(s) said that you found particularly interesting, compelling, or thought provoking about your topic. Briefly discuss or explain why you chose each of the separate quotes (at least 2-3 sentences for each separate explanation) Refer to specific OB theories and concepts from the textbook chapters that relate to each quote. Be sure to explain in at least 2-3 sentences how the textbook content relates to the quote. Refer to specific textbook chapters. Use APA in-text citation format for direct quotes for your articles and in-text citations for the textbook content.

T-alking Points Develop three talking points/open-ended questions for each article. These should be written as open-ended questions (be sure the question is open-ended; this means the answer cannot be answered yes/no). These questions should be ones that could be used to stimulate a discussion about your topic from the articles you read. Briefly explain why you selected each of these questions; should have a separate explanation for each question (at least 3-4 sentences for each explanation). Note: You are not required to write answers or responses to the three talking points you develop

Submit the Write up in the form of a Word document, .doc, .docx file.
