DESCRIPTION: For this paper, you will find three mainstream media sources from California who have covered the troubling social condition that your claimsmaking group worked on which is Black Lives Matter (the articles do not need to mention your group/org specifically). These media sources must be no more than 5 years old and cannot be from an Opinion or Op-Ed section. Finally, mainstream sources do not include blogs or the websites of non-profit organizations. The key here is that the story will have passed through the editorial process before publication by the media outlet. The ultimate goal of this assignment is to describe and analyze “secondary claims” as they appear in mainstream news media.
