As a reminder, we started the semester in the 1200s with the Proto-Renaissance and are ending in the Twentieth Century. Try to have approximately 200 years or at the very least non-adjacent chronological periods/styles. The following is a recap of the majority of the periods discussed:

In a carefully constructed, well thought-out 2 3 page (not including title page or works cited) essay (MLA format, introductory paragraph with thesis statement, body, conclusion, citations if used, works cited page) discuss what it is you appreciate about each artist and why they are your favorite. In addition, select two pieces (painting, sculpture, etc) by each artist that you feel is representative of their work/style and discuss in terms of both formal and cultural analysis.
