If you were to create a professional development plan to address new technology issues in your organization, what would you recommend as the core components of this type of professional development plan?

In order to write an effective development, plan the stakeholders have to be involved and they should be able to share any idea they may have. Stakeholders can be the teachers, parents, administrators, or board members. 2nd goal that are attainable which fits the overall outlook of the district should next. 3rd I will include budgeting and strategic planning this budget will include a technology budget, professional development budget, and even a budget that covers school supply. 4th I would use charity events to help raise money to fund things with the school this can be donations from corporations or even grants. 5th I would set a teacher development day to help teachers get a hands-on class on how to use the new technology, this can be for computers, tablets, and even phones if the school uses them. 6th I would have practices set up throughout the day just in case teachers are having issues and need to come asks for help or demonstrate whats going wrong they can use their off period to get that assistance, this can last a few weeks in school. And last, I would also have assessments done with the teacher and students to make sure everyone is able to properly and accurately use the new technology. (Michele M. Norman , 1999)

Do you think that a professional development plan will work to motivate and educate teachers to embrace new technologies in their classrooms?

Yes, I do believe professional development will help motivate and educate teachers. Having those professional development days gives teachers the time to ask as many questions as they can in order to get help with everything, they need help with. Teachers actually accepting the help from those professional development classes will be the only way they can positively progress, if the teacher is unwilling to accept the help, then it may negatively affect the students. Professional development enables educators to develop the knowledge and skills they need to help address their students learning challenges. (The professional learning association, 2021)

Is there a different approach that you could use as an administrator to encourage teachers to embrace new technologies in their classrooms?

Yes, there are different approaches that can be used to encourage teachers, offering teachers practical solutions or many solutions that can help. Not everyone learns the same, so you have to make sure everyone is picking up the lesson.

What motivational theories would apply, and how would you use them?

Theories can be interests, attribution, expectancy-value and self-efficacy, which is cognitive theories, this is individuals are receiving the information and making decision-based off it. Another can be Maslows hierarchy of needs this has to do with Physiological, Safety Social Self-esteem and Self-actualization.

How might you use the affective domain and taxonomy in this situation?
