For my final paper, I want to go back to when we started learning about rhetorical analysis and go deep into what rhetoric is and how Michael Pollans uses it in “Why bother,” so the theme of my paper will be environmental issues but more specifically global warming and how Pollans uses rhetoric to address the issue.
Describe what rhetoric is and analyze the use of rhetoric to get his message across in his piece of writing.
This is the final paper for my course and the prompt is to Choose a theme or an idea that has moved you this semester. The theme should be directly or loosely related to the assigned readings and authors we explored in our course. Ideas include: environmental issues; language use; identity; rhetorical approaches; racism; women writing; womens invisibility; metaphor as an argument; technology and daily life.
