Presentation guidelines and rationale:
1. Test your abilities to organize the material of a public health nature and graphically communicate that information to a lay audience.
2. Challenge and expand your PowerPoint or other presentation software skills, especially in the area of graphical data, tabular data, and images.
In the second week of class, you will be given a disease topic to research. Each student must assemble tabular and graphical data on this topic and submit an interpretation through a smooth, automated narrated PowerPoint presentation recording (10-20 minutes long). The format of the presentation must consist of tables, figures, images and/or graphs with a written paragraph describing the findings on the same slide.
The presentation must proceed from general to specific. Do not use all graphs or all figures (variety is desired). You are allowed to cut/paste only 1, table or figure from the Internet. Meaning youll have to recreate the tables or figures and add your own X/Y ordinates.
Presentation content
The assignment must include (in this order, the number of slides can variate according to your preference):
Slide 1: Title Slide (include your name, course information, date)
Slide 2: Purpose/Objectives slide
Slide 3: Table of Contents slide
Slide 4,5,6,7,8 Tables, Figures, Illustrations, images with the content on the same slide.
Slide 9: Summary Slide and Questions
Slide 10: Professional style reference list
***Please read these instructions carefully as you have to create ur own graphs and tables from the data collected in the research.***
** Attached in additional materials is a rubric and the essay i wrote on depression if you want to use it to help you complete the powerpoint.
