The paper should be thesis driven–answering a
why question or debating a commonly held view. Do not
simply retell what happened or describe a historical
event or person. Remember to place the material in the
context of the historical period and/or in the context of a
debate about some aspect of the period. (Follow these instructions while talking about The Night of Terror in America in 1917)
