Parent Orientation Plan: Each student will create an orientation plan for a new parent who is enrolling their infant into their classroom. The Orientation Plan must include the following information:
The Colorado Childcare rules for infant sleep, feeding, and activity schedule.
The plan should include El Paso County Health Department regulations for diapering, handwashing and classroom cleaning. Based upon the Colorado Childcare rules and the El Paso County Health regulations, explain to the parents how the rules and guidelines will be implemented in their child’s classroom.
Script out how you’d share with parents the importance of attachment in their child’s development. Share the attachment theory stages and how you will support their child.
Identify to the parents why you will be doing observations of their child and how you will use the information gathered to develop plans to support their child’s overall development.
Provide the parents a sample daily schedule and an example of an appropriate activity plan based on the observations that you recorded while viewing the provided videos.
