Adaptations of stories play an important role in perpetuating as well as challenging interlocking systems of oppression. This project asks you to evaluate a story, Cinderella, research its origins and cultural context; and then create your own adaptation/retelling (story with illustrations) for an audience outside of the classroom (audience: 5-year old American children) to challenge interlocking systems of oppression.
