DDDM Project
Come up with an example business decision that needs to be made utilizing data. This can be a made-up scenario but should apply to a specific business/industry that you will describe in your paper.
Determine what data you will need to inform your decision.
Acquire or collect the data. You can use an existing openly available set of data or data from a survey or observation. Don’t select data that is already analyzed. For example, if you state an average, the data that makes up the average should be in your Excel file.
Describe your data and what tools you will need to use to analyze that data.
Complete your analysis and summarize your results.
Components required for the presentation are:
Make use of and reference at least two of the concepts from the textbook and describe how each helps inform the decision. The concepts should come from two different chapters.
Include at least two graphs/charts made by you in Excel that help summarize the data.
Make use of the concepts you learned above about data-driven decision-making.
Submissions will include:
A paper that describes the business decision, the data, and the summary. Be sure to cite any sources you use using APA style.
Include data analysis and charts/graphs in essay and make sure you use appropriate headings to describe what each component is and appropriate tab names. This should be in support of your paper.

Grading Rubric
1. Paper demonstrates a solid understanding of DDDM describing the business decision, the data, and how that data informs the decision.
2. Data is described effectively and along with the tools needed to analyze the data explaining why the specific tools were chosen based on the data type.
3. Paper demonstrates an understanding of business statistics tools presented in this course and uses at least two.
4. Ideas are arranged logically summarizing the analysis to support the business decision.
