For your Narrative Essay, you will answer the question What do you value and why? While this may initially seem like an easy question, the deeper you delve into your own thoughts the more interesting your paper will be.

In our examination of Identity & Worldview this term, you are asked to connect your thoughts, beliefs, and perceptions with those of others: Why do you value the things you do? How do others value or not value those same things? And, what is the rationale behind this? Youll answer the What portion in your thesis, then divide this into 3+ smaller components of that belief in your body paragraphs. As for the Why, you will then use personal experiences to support each body paragraph.

Some ideas for value: altruism, balance, belonging, commitment, community, compassion, contribution, cooperation, curiosity, empathy, equality, fairness, faith, freedom, generosity, honesty, justice, loyalty, making a difference, order, practicality, self-reliance, simplicity, stability, teamwork, and unity. Either choose one of these values or think of your own for your thesis.
