ASSIGNMENT:
Respond to a colleagues from the perspective of an interested stakeholder for the program by doing the following:
1. Provide a brief description of the role that you are taking.
2. Provide an evaluation of the group research design that they have chosen, and criteria that your colleagues have generated (choice of outcome and method of evaluation) from the perspective of the stakeholder whom you have chosen.
3. Provide support based on your evaluation
4. Ask questions about the plan for research design and the questions that the evaluation plan will address from your chosen perspective.

Post your explanation of which group research design and data collection method from those outlined in the Resources you selected as appropriate for the Social Work Research: “Planning a Program Evaluation” case study and why.
Quantitative experiments all use a standard format, with a few minor inter-disciplinbary differences of generating a hypothesis to be proved or disproved and must be provable by mathematical and statistical means and is the basis around which the whole experiment is designed (Shutterworth,n.d). It is also an excellent way in finalizing results and providing or disproving a hypothesis and after statistical analysis of the results a comprehensive answer is reached and the results can be legitimately discussed and published (Shutterworth,n.d). McNamara, (2006a), explains that when you need to get information quickly and in a non-threatening way questionnaires, surveys and a checklist can be used. There are advantages and disadvantages to using these methods. Advantages includes easy to compare and analyze, you can get lots of data, and it can be administered to a wide variety of people (McNamara, 2006a). Disadvantages includes, the wording of the surveys can bias clients responses and can be impersonal (McNamara, 2006a).
Then, generate criteria to be measured using the research design by identifying a specific outcome and a method for measuring that outcome. Specify who will collect the data and how the data will be collected.
Based on the goals that was mentioned of the program, I will choose to measure those using the research design that I mentioned. Those goals are reducing foster placement disruptions, improving the quality of services delivered, and increasing child well-being through better trained and skilled foster families (Plummer, et al., 2014b). Through questionnaires the data will be collected and by the worker that is conducting the training. McNamara, (2006a), explains that the overall goal in selecting evaluation methods is to get the most useful information to key decision makers in the most cost-effective and realistic fashion. McNamara, (2006a), also stated that a questionnaire to quickly collect a great deal of information from certain respondents to the questionnaires. The information will be collected by a management team from the organization. By collecting the information, the organization can get to learn how to apply the methods and analyze the results but there are also doubts that weaknesses and strengths of the program will not be interpreted fairly (McNamara, 2006a).
