Does the Patriot Act actually violate the U.S Constitution or not?

Ethics in Homeland Security class
discussion board needs to be at least 250 words not in essay form

This week, our discussion requires you to evaluate the constitutionality of the Patriot Act. This should be a very interesting discussion! I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts. This is where we can make quite a bit of room for legal ethics.

Here’s the discussion prompt:

Does the Patriot Act actually violate the U.S Constitution or not? If you believe the Act violates (or does not violate) certain Amendments of the Constitution, support your position.

The key here is, SUPPORT YOUR POSITION. We all have opinions, but here, we try to use facts and evidence to support our opinions. So what I would like to see is for you to pick one or two points in the Patriot Act and discuss the constitutionality of each one. You can stick with the Fourth Amendment protection against unreasonable search and seizure, or you can refer to the Fifth Amendment due process protections. Or if there is something else you would rather address (Constitution related), then go right ahead!
