This paper needs to be centered around becoming a new project manager and what processes need to be followed. the company chosen is Firekeepers Casino and hotel located in Battle Creek, MI. The project is building an additional Hotel. unlike most business Firekeepers is Tribally owned so share holders do not play a role in the decision making process. who does play a part is the tribe and tribal counsel. these are the decision makers when it comes to new projects. the counsel I learned consist of about 1,000 member who hold many titles that help the business and the tribe with growth. This counsel often looks to it’s members first when it comes to new projects in all facets next it looks to outside businesses. When it comes to comparison on who gets a job the counsel first sees if there is anyone within the tribe or counsel completely applicable for the job with no question, if not the counsel then considers outside business for the positions then makes. The counsel and Tribe will also pull employees from the casino itself to perform a project role if they feel the duty is important enough.
