-)Set forth what you believe about the issue. Explain what you believe consciously and explicitly in light of the most important theories that you have studied. Evaluate your sense of responsibilityindividually and institutionally. Think through the responsibility for this type of agency you have chosen. What kind of responsibility do you have to the community? How would you take this new police agency to the public square?

-)Think through the institutional implications of your sense of responsibility. Ask yourself the hard questions of what it means to take your vision of what is real and true and right into the public square. This is perhaps, the most difficult task of all, i.e., translating individual beliefs into institutional responsibility. In other words, consider the connection between your sense of responsibility and that of one or two institutions, such as business, government, school, or the community at large.

-)Draw upon the resources. You need to wrestle with the way of making sense of complex questions, and to do so by seriously interacting with the course material. ( in other words, you must have quotes from your textbook)

-): Your essay must be concise and compacti.e., not more than four (4) pages in length, not counting title page, endnotes, and reference page. Standard format is typed, 11cpi or 12 cpi, double spaced, one (1) inch margins, and numbered pages. Include in your references of your sources used whether cited or not. This essay must be in the Current APA Edition format. You will need a minimum of six (6) sources.
