Describe the types of applications for which each is well-suited, and why.

Chapter 15&16:

Read these chapters carefully, and right a paper examining both classes of languages discussed in these chapters: functional and logic programming. Your paper should discuss the following topics.

Contrast the pure types of each with imperative languages. The following points are to be discussed with regard to essentially pure functional and logical languages.
1.) Describe the types of applications for which each is well-suited, and why.
2.)Describe the types of applications for which each is not well-suited, and why.
3.)Discuss what concessions may be required to languages of both types to make them more suitable for use in general programming.

Your discussions should be at least two full pages long, with one full page for each paradigm, logical and functional.

An additional half page is required, and this is to discuss how you see the decision processes that have resulted in imperative and object-oriented languages and their hybrids dominating so much major project software development, rather than other language paradigms.

The paper should be formatted using a 12-point Times New Roman, single-spaced, with first line of each paragraph indented and one-inch margins on all sides. (These formatting requirements improve readability for the grader.)
