How did constructs of race and gender shape German and American experiences after 1945? What were some of the (racialized) outcomes of German-American interactions?
——————————————————————————————
the rules for this essay are pretty simple. no passive voice, mla format, citations used properly, and the essay must have an argument and prove that argument using sources.. It has to be at university level meaning verbs such as “to do, done, thing, did” should not be used and instead more expressive verbs such as “accomplished, achieved” etc.
introdfuction ,thesis statement, body pgaragraphs with citations, conclusion.
I will also upload the rubric and writing rules my prfosseor posted down below the dashed line…

Writing Rules
-Only use the sources I have provided you with for citations and derivation for essay answer.
-You cannot use the second pronoun you. You may use I but be chaste about it/use it sparingly
-Avoid the verb to do, done thing did. Please use more expressive verses such as accomplish, achieve, etc.
-Avoid using the word feel, as in The British felt like WWI was a victory or Germans felt like Hitler was a strong leader.
– Instead, try using words like believe (Germans believed that they were desperate) or convince (Germans were convinced that Hitler was a strong leader.
-Do not use passive voice
When using a quote introduce and explain it.
Dont write:
Religion is the opiate of the masses.
Instead write:
Karl Marx said, Religion is the opiate of the masses (Marx, 91).
-Who said it? Why is it significant? Why did you place it in your paragraph?
-Avoid absolutist claims (The French by nature are a cowardly people, the Nazis were the most evil group of people to have ever lived, and so on). If you cant prove it, dont write it
Rubric
1. specific thesis statement and argument
( Paper cannot simply be a presentation of a litany of facts, nor can it offer a play-by-play narrative.
Paper must argue something. There is a difference between a report, a review, and an argument. For this assignment, I am looking for an argument from you. Offer your reader your position on an important question utilizing evidence that supports your claims. A good thesis/argument appears in the beginning of a paper and is easily recognizable to any reader. Hint: if your thesis statement feels almost too obvious, too overt, that means youve probably got a thesis statement)
2. A good collection of evidence (quotes, images, and so on) taken directly from the primary and secondary sources we have discussed in class. You will not be allowed to use material for your essays that is not listed on the syllabus or on Canvas.
Focus heavily and intensely on primary and secondary sources that I have assigned. Read them more than once if you can. Mine them for evidence and meaning.
If you do not have any quotes in your paper, the highest grade you can earn on the assignment is a 20/100.
3. Well-written prose. Your paper must be articulate, clear, and syntactically and grammatically correct. The more clearly and beautifully written your paper is, the easier it will be for the reader to understand your ideas and be persuaded by your arguments.
4. Proper source attribution. You must give credit to ideas and words that are not your own. Each source that you cite must have an author. If it does not have an author (i.e., Wikipedia) you are not allowed to cite it. Unless I stipulate it elsewhere, all assignments
will use MLA
(Author, Title, Page Number).
5. A clear organization. Your reader must be able to follow your line of thinking from the beginning until the very end. Make sure that your first 1-2 paragraphs are introductory: tell the reader in these opening paragraphs what you plan to argue in your paper. Make
sure each new paragraph has an obvious signpost alerting to your reader to a new point that you are making. Make sure each point builds upon the last. Your conclusion and Introduction should be in agreement with one another.
