The Assignment:
Write a 6 page persuasive essay on the topic of your choice. You may (and are recommended to) use the same topic you chose for Essay Three.
Your objectives for this essay: Establish a position and then persuade your readers of that position. In order to do this effectively, you must use reasoned, persuasive language, well-vetted sources to support your claims, and rhetorical devices such as ethos, logos, pathos, and Kairos.
This is your final project, so you should showcase all you have learned this semester. Your essay must contain the following:
an effective introductory paragraph
a strong thesis statement that outlines the main ideas discussed in your essay
topic sentences that are derived from your thesis statement and serve to maintain focus throughout
at least one fully-framed direct quote in each paragraph that works to support and develop your claims
college-level writing, free of error
a works cited page in correct MLA format; in-text citations throughout
