-One of the first steps to bringing better healthcare to rural areas is recognizing the barrier to healthcare in these areas of the world.

-Historically there have been healthcare disparities among racial, ethic and socioeconomic but now more than ever there are major disparities in healthcare due to geographic regions.

-Reducing these disparities have and still will require leadership to engage the community and recruit healthcare providers to rural areas.
