“How do the use of collaborative learning strategies in a middle school humanities classroom (Geography, Economics and History) affect student learning, engagement and well-being.”

This is a literature review for my research proposal in my Masters of High School Teaching (Grade 8 – 10). My research question is the following:

“How do the use of collaborative learning strategies in a middle school humanities classroom (Geography, Economics and History) affect student learning, engagement and well-being.”

1st Paragraph (100 words):

This is just a quick signpost of what sections will be talked about in the literature review. What does the research say about collaborative learning strategies affects on student learning, engagement and wellbeing

After this section, I would like my literature review to be split into three subheadings:

Heading 1: “Collaborative Learning Strategies” (1000 words)
In this section, Identify what collaborative learning is in a high school classroom, describe different collaborative learning strategies, and critically review different literature (3 different references). Tie this in with how collaborative learning strategies positively/negatively affect students overall.

Heading 2: Student Learning / Engagement (700 words)

Identify and describe what student learning/engagement is (provide definition), and review literature of how student learning / Engagement are affected by collaborative learning strategies. Reference at least 3 different research papers in this section

Heading 3: Student well-being (700 Words)

Identify and describe what student wellbeing is (provide definition), and review literature of how student wellbeing is affected by collaborative learning strategies. Reference at least 3 different research papers in this section
