Instructions:
Your concise primary post (~ 400-600 words) should clearly address new insight gained after completing and reflecting on the learning activities. Incorporate application to your current and/or future nursing practice. Support your primary post with at least two APA-formatted scholarly sources.
Address the following:
1. List the one theory from each discipline (Sociologic, Behavioral, Biomedical, Ethics, Leadership and Learning) that is of the most interest to you. (Example: Sociological Sciences: Feminist Theory. All of these are listed in the PowerPoint presentations provided this module. You may list the discipline and names of theories – expansion of this is not needed.)
2. Select one of those theories and search relatively recent (within ten years) scholarly literature for its use in a clinical application that has relevance for you.
3. Provide a very brief overview of the theory and include a diagram/picture/figure of the theory IF one exists.
4. Identify the use of the theory in the clinical application.
5. Provide learning reflections gained for the assignment.
Example:
*As an example, perhaps the review of Maslow’s theory in Chapter 14 prompted me to assess its use in current nursing practice. As I searched, I found an interesting article addressing its use for a critical care application. (I will post the resource and a diagram below – please do not use Maslow’s theory for your practice application)
