In this course, we will explore variables associated with multi-culturalism and linguistic diversity and the impact of these variables on assessment and treatment in communication disorders. We will discuss foundational topics including theoretical frameworks for considering culture and cultural responsiveness, as well as bilingual language development. Several modules explore culturally responsive assessment and intervention considerations for children and adults from differing backgrounds and cultures.
