What are some specific ways in which an understanding of religious issues aids a person in accurately understanding American or previous European (or non-Western) history?There is a sheet I attached here with sample of questions you can choose from or simply go with the question I chose from the list above but you are more than welcome to go with any question for this Inquiry Essay 1. Bear in mind , it is mid quarter thus we are supposedly half way through the books that I have attached the chapters for two of them (one is missing but you can choose citation from). There will be another inquiry Essay 2 in few weeks with another fresh question we need to choose from the attached list.
Direction for Inquiry Essay: By answering above inquiry question (or if you want to choose another), write or produce a conventional essay (4-5 double-spaced pages, 12 font). This product of your research should accomplish three things: a) demonstrate the importance of your chosen question; b) shed new light on your question; and c) conclude with some provisional answer(s) as well as any new questions that you might continue to ponder in your ongoing professional life.
The Inquiry Paper will be scored based on the following criteria, which the professor will refer to when commenting on your work: 1) Sophistication, importance, and clarity of the inquiry question; 2) Evidence of reasonably thorough, appropriate, and productive research; 3) Clarity of organization with a distinct introduction, body development, and a conclusion supporting an identifiable and consistent thesis; 4) Quality of written expression – ie. mechanics (spelling and grammar) and style.
Books to cite from (I only included chapters from two books but feel free to use references from all 3 if need to. At least two books citations are required eve though researches and ideas are be mainly from one!
