The case study concludes with a statement that “Uber must revamp its corporate culture to prevent more legal repercussions.”

As mentioned in the course videos and the textbook chapters, a key component to a successful ethical corporate culture is the linking of espoused/stated core values and the behaviors of the employees of the company.

For this case study, you will link ethical issues to the original core value that enabled/promoted poor ethical decision making. You will then chose a core value from the updated core value listing (assuming that employees will embrace the updated core value) that may eliminate or mitigate the ethical issue from reoccurring.

Step one: You will select an ethical issue at Uber. You will provide a short description of the issue. Do not simply cut and paste the information from the article. Use your own words and demonstrate understanding of the ethical issue.

Step two: You will link the issue to a specific original core value included in the document below. Explain why you believe the original core value you chose may have led to or allowed the ethical issue to occur.

Step three: You will review the updated core value listing (also included in the document below) and determine if one of the new core values could prevent or at least discourage the ethical issue from happening in the future.
