Its time for a critique of a talk show. Now, when I say a talk show, it doesnt have to be about politics/current events; it can be a sports talk show, or a celebrity talk show (like The View), or even a late-night comedy/variety/talk show like the ones hosted by Trevor Noah, Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert, and others. It can be on radio or TV, or even online. But it MUST have a host who interviews guests. I dont want a musical program (where its all singing and dancing), and I dont want any shows from 10 years ago, that you found on YouTube. You MUST watch or listen to a show that is current or very recent (as in the past 2-3 months). Please do NOT watch a segment or a clip you found online. While its fine if you see it on Hulu or on some website, you need to be able to see most of the actual show, rather than a 5-10 minute excerpt. So On the first page of your critique, tell me the show you chose and the dates you watched or listened; critique TWO episodes if possible, just in case the host was having a bad day the first time. Your job is to evaluate the show and the host– is he or she interesting? Is he or she a good speaker, or a good interviewer? Does he or she have an easy time managing the guests or do people just end up shouting at each other? Would you recommend this show?
