Most cultures around the world have some kind of rite of passage ceremony/ritual that marks an individual’s coming of age in society. There are typically 3 stages in a rite of passage: Separation, transition, and incorporation. For this project, I would like you to choose 1 of the cultures listed below, and create a power point presentation that will teach me about a rite of passage tradition within that culture. Make sure that you address how the 3 stages (separation, transition, and incorporation) are represented within the ceremony/ritual. Also explain how the rite of passage changes the individual’s status within society (for example, does it give them new responsibilities and/or privileges).

Your power point presentation should be at least 8 slides. Slide #1 should be the title slide and slide #8 should be your works cited slide, which leaves at least 6 content slides. Be creative and have fun with it….add pictures as well as facts. Use at least 3 sources (using the research guide above)! Make sure that all of your sources are cited properly using APA format (if you don’t know how to cite using one of these formats, google it). You do not need to cite the pictures.
